I am a current Master’s of Psychology student at Adler Graduate Professional School in Toronto. I received my Bachelor of Science in psychology from the University of Toronto. Different experiences in my life, including my medical education abroad, community work in hospitals, and personal experiences with immigration, have led me toward a career in psychology. In addition to working for Dr. Lisa Bradford, I have been volunteering at a clinic specializing in mood and anxiety disorders, where I have honed my assessment and therapy skills.

I have always believed that being a good listener, and creating a safe and non-judgemental space where a person can be their authentic self, can benefit anyone who is struggling. Moreover, I fully recognize that each person is unique and comes with their own story. I hope to be a part of your story and help you throughout your journey by building a genuine therapeutic relationship. Together, we will work to help you feel your best and tackle whatever issue(s) you are facing, whether it is anxiety, depression, interpersonal difficulties, or anything else. In some cases, you may be doing well but looking to deepen your self-awareness and enhance your sense of wellbeing.

My approach in therapy is to use elements from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and relational psychodynamic therapy in a client-centered and trauma-informed manner. I also explore attachment issues and include psychoeducation whenever I believe it to be of value. Furthermore, I acknowledge the importance of each person’s cultural background, which is why I am always curious about people’s experiences in their culture and work in a culturally sensitive manner.

My clinical work is supervised by Dr. Lisa Bradford (psychologist) and Dr. Andrea Rocha (psychologist under supervised practice). I am fluent in English and Farsi.
