Therapy Areas: couples therapy, relationship issues, communication problems, intimacy issues, interpersonal conflict, attachment injuries, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma

Many individuals embark on the therapeutic journey when they sense that they are not fully embracing their potential for a fulfilling life. Feeling overwhelmed by present circumstances, entangled in destructive behaviours or relationship dynamics, or haunted by unresolved past issues are common motivations for seeking therapy. These initial struggles can be deeply distressing. However, therapy possesses the power to rekindle an individual’s inherent capacity for growth and transformation.

In my work with couples, together, we identify problematic patterns in communication and behaviours to reduce distress and conflict with the hope of enhancing satisfaction of the relationship and resolving important issues.

My role is to provide a compassionate and attentive presence, delving into your patterns of emotions, thoughts, and behaviours. You hold the keys to your own experiences, history, and the goals that matter most to you. Together, we will navigate, process, and transcend the challenges that led you to therapy, paving the way for enhanced well-being and a more gratifying life. Our collaborative efforts will instigate lasting change.

My therapeutic approach is marked by warmth and genuineness. Rooted in curiosity and empathy, I will assist you in gaining a deeper understanding of your emotions and harnessing them for self-acceptance. As emotions become more manageable, their natural ability to connect us with our needs is re-awakened. From a relational perspective, we will explore how past relationships and childhood experiences have influenced your life and work together to forge new, fulfilling ways of connecting with others. These processes foster self-awareness, flexibility, and resilience, equipping you to face future challenges and thrive.

I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology from Adler Graduate Professional School, and I am a registered clinical and counselling psychologist in good standing, authorized by the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO) to work with individual adults. I am also a member of the Ontario Psychological Association (OPA).

I have lots of experience doing couples therapy; my clinical work with couples is currently being supervised by Dr. Lisa Bradford, a registered psychologist. I am working toward adding this client group to my autonomous CPO registration and am presently under supervised practice for couples only (not work with individual adults).

I look forward to working together.
